pento I found it quite easy to look at sky diving from something of a dispassionate point of view. Many people have done it before me, they've all managed it fine, and the place I went to had a perfect safety record. So, I didn't expect it to be dangerous. For the actual diving part, the free fall was the easiest part. I think my brain was overloaded by the new experience, so I didn't have time to worry about the "falling at terminal velocity" bit. The bit that gave the biggest rush was steering the parachute, I suspect because by that stage, I could actually see the ground getting closer, and I could use it as a point of reference when I swung around.
